Your Church: fresh ways to get it across
Teaching you to use storytelling and drama to drive home your message
Saturday 27 September – Pennine room – 10.30 – 1.00
During this practical workshop we’ll briefly explore the storytellers
ways and means before moving on to learn about the basic grammar of
acting: listening and responding through an exploration of the
techniques developed by Sanford Meisner. This will be an ideal event
for people already engaged in church drama and looking for ways to
progress and deepen their work. The workshop will be led by Richard
Hasnip, Assistant Creative Arts Director, Saltmine Theatre Company

Led by Andy Chamberlain and Nicki Rogers of Musicademy this workshop is packed with ideas to help your worship team play together more cohesively and improve their sound and skills. The workshop is divided into two parts:

Improve your vocal skills with this hands-on singing lesson
2.45-4.15
- Building the groove
A practical session on how to make your band sound together and improve their arrangements by deconstructing rhythm patterns (bring guitars if you like) - Tips and discussion on worship leading skills, musical communication, creating a unified team and maximizing the effectiveness of your sound checks and rehearsals
