Lee Abbey

Lee Abbey is a Conference, Retreat and Holiday Centre on the North Devon coast, hosted by a 90-strong international and interdenominational Christian Community.

Our spacious country house is set in a breathtaking location, overlooking the sea, on the edge of Exmoor and within 280 acres of estate. We have accommodation for up to 110 guests full board and some in self-catering units on the estate.

We are a place of renewal, a 'spiritual oasis'. To quote a guest "Lee Abbey is a place of refreshment for the soul and the spirit."

We offer a varied programme throughout the year of holidays for families and singles, teaching weeks, retreats, themed breaks (worship, walking, creative etc), weekends for church groups and more. Many people simply come away for a time away, to enjoy their own space, and all programme activities are optional.

Every summer we run youth camps for one to two weeks on our estate for 16-25s and 13-18s. These are an exciting time of meeting God and each other as well as enjoying a host of activities and the stunning location.

Lee Abbey is run by an international residential community of around 90 people, with many different backgrounds. Our vision is to build community; be God's welcome and to renew and serve the Church. We have an Anglican foundation but our guests, community and speakers are interdenominational.

Also taking advantage of the dramatic Lee Abbey estate is The Beacon, our 40-bed Youth & Outdoor Activity Centre. The Beacon offers exciting opportunities for youth groups to come away, for youth leader training and, during term time, for school groups to come away on field trips. The Beacon also hosts coporate and team building events and days.
